Marriage Policy and Pastoral Involvement
The Grove Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) and conducts Christian weddings in accordance with Bibical teachings.
Therefore:
* Weddings conducted at The Grove Church are only between one man and one woman.
* All weddings are subject to approval by the pastoral staff and leadership.
*All couples married by a Grove Church pastor must participate in a minimum of 8 hours of premartial counseling and preparation, including:
** Biblical teaching on marriage
** Communication and conflict resolution
** Rehearsal Planning / Wedding Ceremony Coordination
Responsibilities and Guidelines
The couple agrees to the following:
* To complete all required premarital counseling sessions before the date of the wedding.
* To honor the sancity of marriage.
* To return the facility to its original condition following the ceremony.
* To communicate with the church office and wedding coordinator regarding any set up, AV needs or access times.
